Ine Mariën initiates research into perception by the general public of the 15 year old CSR initiative “Give a Smile” of McDonald’s Belgium

In parallel Ine Mariën asks for targeted communication strategy regarding the launch of the first “Ronald McDonald House” in Belgium.


Brussels, September 2014 – Ine Mariën launches research for the Ronald Mc Donald’s Children’s Fund on the perception of the yearly CSR fundraising action “Give a smile” amongst restaurant clients in Belgium. In parallel, the group of students of the postgraduate course MTB of Ghent University is to conduct qualitative research and formulate recommendations on the positioning and communication strategies of the new initiative “A first Ronald McDonald House in Belgium”. The Ronald McDonald Houses provide comfort and care to seriously ill children and their families during their stay at the hospital. (Research 2014-2015)
